Love is a gift from God.
Use it daily.

That day just gone by . .

The cards, the kitsch, the rampant dishonesty, the veneer of love. The whole love stuff often has no more substance than fairy floss, more an ‘I wish it would be this way’ than it really is. It points to something which is significant, but the real feelings of love and joy are somehow disconnected from lived experience . . . .

Jesus said; Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me - watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly."
Matt 11: 28-30 The Message

The photos (left) display a variety of events and occasions in the life of Pilgrim.
The 3 photos on the bottom-left depict scenes from the International Workers' Memorial Service held at Pilgrim on April 28. This day was about remembering those who have lost their lives as a result of a workplace tragedy or due to disease caused by exposure to dangerous substances such as asbestos. This day has evolved over the years in South Australia with a varied significance for different people.  There are of course many family members who come to remember someone they love who is no longer with them.  We also see those in influential positions who are passionate about the importance of workplace safety and those who come along simply because they care.  There was no religious or faith criteria to take part in this special event. We all agree that this day should highlight the importance of workplace safety and we welcomed everyone with open arms.
