Tony is married to Meff who is a teacher of children with special needs.
Between them they have 5 children and live with two older teenage daughters.
Tony was ordained in the Uniting Church in 1997. Since then has served in a
variety of ministry capacities including Minister of Clare and Blyth Uniting
Church, Co-ordinating Chaplain St. Andrews Hospital and lecturer in the Practice
of Ministry at Uniting College (formerly Parkin Wesley).
Tony has a number of ministry interests, particularly in the areas of worship,
preaching and pastoral care. He is also keenly interested in helping people to
deepen their faith in Christ and engage with contemporary faith and social issues.
Tony‘s research and the teaching of preaching and worship as they relate to the
Australian context are important academic interests. His faith life and research
draw upon a range of worship styles. He is interested in how the world-wide moments
such as Taize, Iona and Willow Creek influence the local church and its ministry practice.
In his spare time Tony loves spending time with family, gardening, meeting new
people and entertaining.
