Matching Gift Fund – Uniting World

What is the Matching Gift Fund?

To help us make sure we can match the available Government funding, UnitingWorld has established the Matching Gift Fund for approved development projects.

This means that by making a tax-deductible donation to the Matching Gift Fund before the end of the financial year, you can make your gift go further.

All around the world, women are leading the way in their communities, committed to peace, education and livelihood opportunities. In 2012-2013, donations given to the Matching Gift Fund will support the critical contribution of women in development. As the United Nation’s Development Program notes, “Women’s empowerment helps raise economic productivity and reduce infant mortality. It contributes to improved health and nutrition. It increases the chances of education for the next generation.”

All donations to the Matching Gift Fund will support the life-giving work of our partners in West Timor, Ambon and North India. Teamed with the Australian Government grant, your gift will go even further.

All donations made to the Matching Gift Fund over $2 are tax deductible. Should the funds raised exceed the amount required to meet the needs of these projects, UnitingWorld will use the excess funds to support similar relief and development programs.
